Paxlegal, Liberty Legal, RME Legal and Fieldfisher Portugal have decided to join forces and expertise to develop a joint legal strategy aimed at protecting the rights and interests of foreign citizens, investors and families potentially affected by the recent amendments to the Portuguese Nationality Law and the significant delays observed in AIMA procedures.
This collaboration brings together multidisciplinary teams with consolidated experience in immigration, nationality, foreign investment, administrative litigation, and the protection of individual rights and freedoms, enabling a coordinated, technical and cross-disciplinary approach to the challenges currently faced by many applicants.
In recent years, thousands of residence and nationality procedures have been marked by excessive delays, changes in administrative interpretation, and an increasing scenario of legal uncertainty, with a direct impact on the personal, family and professional lives of many applicants.
In this context, the four firms are currently structuring the appropriate legal mechanisms to act in a coordinated and effective manner, through different collective and individual legal avenues, with the aim of safeguarding, to the greatest extent possible, the rights, legitimate expectations and legal positions of affected clients.
The initiative seeks to ensure a rigorous and individualized analysis of each specific situation, assessing the legal instruments available in light of the particular circumstances of each case.
