Integrated into the Paxlegal office, this space hosts temporary exhibitions by Portuguese and international artists.
The first exhibition is Without Witness, by João Figueiredo: a collection of works developed between 2024 and 2026, exploring the limits of human representation by combining classical references with contemporary interventions.

Message from João Figueiredo:
The Without Witness exhibition was born from a very special invitation made by this law firm composed, above all, of friends whom I deeply admire. I accepted this challenge as someone entering a new territory: a space designed for the rigor of words, law and interpretation, but also open to emotion, doubt and contemplation.
For this project, I gathered recent works and developed new pieces conceived specifically for this context, in an attempt to create a subtle dialogue between art and justice, between what can be proven and what can only be felt. The title Without Witness emerges almost as a provocation — because no artwork truly exists without the gaze of another.
In a place where narratives, arguments and testimonies are built every day, I wanted to bring images that also question memory, truth, silence and representation. More than simply occupying this extraordinarily designed space, the intention was to allow it to be inhabited by art and by the gaze of those who walk through it.
Because, ultimately, nothing should remain without a witness. Not the space. Not the artworks. Not what remains unspoken within them.
João Figueiredo
