New nationality law. Group of lawyers to defend affected immigrants

Portugal’s new Nationality Law officially entered into force this week.
In response, paxlegal, Liberty Legal, RME Legal and Fieldfisher Portugal have joined efforts in a coordinated legal initiative focused on protecting foreign citizens, investors and families affected by the recent changes and ongoing administrative delays.
As part of this joint action, Barbara Pestana (paxlegal), Raquel de Matos Esteves (RME Legal) and André Miranda (Fieldfisher Portugal) spoke with RTP about the legal uncertainty currently affecting thousands of applicants.
As highlighted by Barbara Pestana during the interview: “For years, foreign citizens and investors have contributed to Portugal through taxes, job creation and social security contributions. The importance of foreign investment and of those who choose Portugal to live and build their future here is undeniable.”
