Professional Experience

António is a Founding Partner of Paxlegal and a lawyer with over 40 years of experience, with a practice focused on civil law, particularly in real estate, corporate, succession and litigation matters.

Throughout his career, he has been involved in the structuring and execution of complex projects, being particularly recognised for his role in large-scale real estate transactions, including tourism developments and structured investments.

His practice includes advising investors and developers on the acquisition, development and management of real estate assets, as well as the legal structuring of corporate and investment transactions, ensuring the alignment of business and asset-related interests. In parallel, he has extensive experience in advising private clients on the organisation and protection of their wealth, including estate planning and intergenerational transfer structures, often in international contexts.

António also has a solid background in civil and labour litigation, representing clients in complex and high-impact disputes, combining technical rigour with a pragmatic and results-oriented approach.

Prior to founding Paxlegal, he was a partner at Costa Reis & Patrício; Patrício, Corrêa Martins & Associados; and PMCM Advogados, where he consolidated his experience in structured transactions and advisory to institutional and private clients.

He holds a law degree from the Portuguese Catholic University and a postgraduate qualification in European Studies from the Centre for European Studies of the same institution.

He regularly participates as a speaker and moderator in conferences and events within the legal sector.

He is fluent in Portuguese and English.
